GetFocusDash
GetFocusDash unifies tasks from Jira and Monday.com into one
Hey Indie Hackers,
This is Raşit, founder of GetFocusDash. We've just hit Stage 3 (Launch!), and we really need the feedback of this specific community.
Why? Because GetFocusDash isn't just another to-do list or site blocker. It’s an opinionated execution cockpit built for developers, designers, and anyone who feels like they live in Jira, Asana, or Monday just to figure out what to do next.
This is our story.
The Problem: The "Jira Rabbit Hole"
Our "Why" started with a simple, painful loop:
Start the day, feeling productive.
Open Jira/Monday to see my tasks.
Click a ticket. Read the 10 comments. See 5 sub-tasks. Get pulled into two other related tickets.
...30 minutes later...
I'm stressed, I've lost my "flow," and I haven't even written a line of code.
The problem is: Project Management tools are built for Managers, not for Makers.
They are great for planning and tracking, but they are terrible for deep, focused work. They are a black hole of distraction.
The Solution: GetFocusDash
We decided to build the tool we, as web grunts, desperately needed.
GetFocusDash is a simple layer that sits on top of your existing PM tools. Here's the workflow:
Pull, Don't Plan: You log in (with Google or Github) and connect your Jira or Monday account. GetFocusDash pulls all your assigned tasks into one clean, distraction-free interface. This becomes your personal "to-do" list, separate from all the project-level noise.
Activate, Don't Browse: You pick a task and start a "Focus Block." This is the magic part. We don't block sites. Instead, we create a dedicated execution cockpit for that single task. It pulls your task details, a timer, and your key tools into one single view. You're not blocked from distractions; you're simply removed from the environment where they live (like the cluttered PM tool or your 50 other tabs). You have no reason to leave this focused view.
Sync, Don't Switch: When you finish your work (or a Pomodoro cycle), you don't need to break your flow by going back to that messy Jira ticket. You can update the status (e.g., "To-Do" -> "In Progress") and add comments directly from your cockpit. We handle the magic of syncing it back to the right ticket.
Our "Anti-Philosophy": Just Finish Your Work and Go.
This is the most important part. GetFocusDash is defined by what it doesn't do.
You cannot create new tasks in GetFocusDash.
This is 100% intentional.
It's not a planning tool. It's not for your boss. It's for you. It forces a simple, powerful mindset: "Pull your work. Finish your work. Sync it. Go home."
Stage 3: Where We Are Now
We've been building this since January 1st, 2025. The stack is ReactJS, TailwindCSS, Shadcn, Core PHP, Rest API, MySQL, and Redux.
The core loop is working. The Jira and Monday integrations are live, but this is where we're most nervous. This is where we need you.
Our Ask from You
This community understands the "maker" pain better than anyone. We're not looking for praise; we're looking for holes.

Break it and give us feedback:
Does this "anti-PM" philosophy resonate with you?
Did the Jira/Monday integration work smoothly?
Did the status/comment sync work as expected?
What's the one thing that's confusing or missing for you?
Thanks for reading our story. We'll be in the comments all day. Let us have it!
Cheers, Raşit & The GetFocusDash Team
