GetPaidIA
Stop chasing late payments. AI-powered payment reminders.
Shipped the MVP a few days ago and got some interesting feedback from the community here — a couple people pointed out that GetPaidAI isn't really solving an "invoicing" problem, it's solving the emotional discomfort of asking for money.
That's a much better way to frame this than I had in my head. Updating my messaging around that insight now.
Hey IH! 👋
Quick backstory: I kept seeing freelancers and small agencies
lose money to late/unpaid invoices — and the "chasing" part
(those awkward "hey, just checking in on that invoice"
messages) always seemed like the worst part of the job.
So I built GetPaidAI — it automatically sends payment reminders
(email, tone escalates from gentle → firm → urgent) so you
never have to send that message yourself.
The math that got me excited about this niche: if someone has
even $500 sitting in unpaid invoices, recovering it pays for
a year of the tool. Pretty low-friction pitch.
Stack: Next.js, Prisma, Supabase, Stripe, Resend.
Still very early — just shipped the MVP and would love honest
feedback from this community. What would make this a "yes"
for you if you're a freelancer/small agency?

Really appreciate this — you nailed something I didn't articulate as clearly in the post itself. The emotional friction of asking for money IS the real problem. The invoice being "late" is just the symptom. That's actually a great angle for how I talk about this going forward. Thank you!

What stood out to me is that you're reducing the emotional cost of getting paid, not just automating reminder emails.
Late invoices are rarely forgotten—they're uncomfortable to follow up on. Separating the payment request from the freelancer preserves the relationship while still moving the conversation forward. That's a much more interesting problem to solve than reminder automation alone.

I like that you're treating late payments as a relationship problem, not just an invoicing problem.
The invoice usually isn't what's uncomfortable. It's having to repeatedly ask for money. If the product preserves that relationship while improving collections, that's a much stronger value proposition than automated reminders alone.

I kept noticing freelancers and small agencies losing money to late or unpaid invoices — and the worst part wasn't the money itself, it was the awkward follow-up.
