Shopify quietly changed how you generate Access Tokens for custom apps earlier this year and the new process is a mess. What used to take 30 seconds now involves bouncing between screens, manually copying URLs, and hoping you don't lose track of something in a browser tab along the way.

After going through this enough times to lose my patience, I spent a weekend building a small web app that consolidates the whole thing into a few steps. Nothing fancy — it just removes the friction.

I put it out for free at getshopifytoken.com because it felt like the kind of thing that shouldn't need to exist but does.

No signups, no paywalls, no plans to monetize it. Just a scratch-your-own-itch project that turned out to be useful beyond my own workflow.
