Gigflow

Gig management for UK freelance performers

February 27, 2026 Built the MVP in 5 days. First beta tester called it "bloody perfect."

My wife is a freelance singer in the UK. After every gig she'd come home and spend 20 minutes updating spreadsheets, calculating mileage, working out agency commissions, and figuring out who still owed her money. Multiply that by 50+ gigs a year across 3 different agencies.

I built Gigflow to fix it. One app to log gigs, auto-calculate commissions, track HMRC-compliant mileage, generate invoices, and show exactly what's been paid vs what's outstanding.

MVP Built with Lovable.dev + Supabase in about 2 days, fully working product in about 2 weeks. Total cost under £600 — versus the £15-25k quotes I'd have been looking at traditionally.

Now in beta with real performers. First tester (not my wife) described it as "bloody perfect" and "a game changer" within 10 minutes of using it.

The UK has ~32,500 self-employed musicians, and Making Tax Digital hits in April 2026. Most of them are still using the Notes app and a spreadsheet.

Next up: expanding beta through singer communities and getting to 50 active users before any real marketing push.

About

My wife gigs 50+ times a year and spends 20 mins after every show on spreadsheets — fees, commissions, mileage. Every UK performer has this problem. No tool exists for how they work. Gigflow fixes that.
