Gistabyte
A social payment & e-commerce app for Africans
We crossed 500 waitlist signup for early access on our app which is really a huge milestone for me and Gistabyte because I never really thought we would come this far (pre-launch).
Users we talked to are eager to use our product to simplify the stress they go through, we are so happy to solve problems for our users.
I woke up to see that a user just paid a Certain amount to pay his bills and I was so excited because this was the first time am really building a product people actually use, so I thought I should come up with a better Idea for college student and Busy class citizen to help them solve the problem I experience everyday.
This is where things really get messy because I started having thought to build a social payment app for users to send & receive money without any hassle and also help college students split bills among themselves.

It took me 5 weeks to finished the first in-chat payment app on Facebook which we used to test our market but eventually I was able to complete our first Product and got to onboard 10 customers that used our Gistabyte for the First Time.
I was not a back-end guy but I was able to code our first MVP with trial and error and with that we build our first bot to Take on the Job to pay bills for our customers while they chat with friends.
