Command-line tool to manage multiple git repos
The main functions of gita was completed in early 2018. After 1 year, there were only 5 stars on GitHub: 3 from my coworkers, 1 from myself, and 1 from a stranger.
One day it suddenly occurred to me that I should post it on HN. And this is what happened
@1am posted on Hacker News Show
@6:30am got up with 115 stars and 3 issues
@1am second day: 274 stars, 1 more issue, and 3 pull requests
It then went on the HN front page and also the GitHub trending page for that week.
There are quite a few repos for my work. Some of them compile together. All of them need to be somewhat synchronize to build the full system. It is painful to keep changing directories to execute git commands.
This is when I decided to make my own tool. A tool that fires git command from anywhere, in batches, and also displays multiple repos' status side by side.

- If several repos are related, it helps to see their status together. - It sucks to change directories to execute git commands.
