April 7, 2019 Giveaways That Don't Suck!

As an Industrial Designer who moved into UX I have hosted giveaways looking to gain followers on social media, grow a mailing list, and promote products I was selling. If you haven't done this in the past let me save you some time and tell you it's a waste of time... Unless you're looking for fake followers and very little ROI (personal opinion, I'm sure it works for some people).

Our goal for Givhr is creating a platform for company's to host giveaways internally that focus on getting feedback and learning from their employees. Our team has seen the need for HR, Managers, and Executives to learn about their employees to increase their companies internal retention rates.

The problem with trying to learn from employees is that everyone is busy and traditional surveys don't offer any benefit for employees that complete the survey. This results in low returns for feedback.

We are currently in development of Givhr and I am sure small pivots will come but at the end of the day we are here to make giveaways that don't suck!

April 7, 2019 Building a pre-launch waitlist.

As our team works towards getting Givhr into a Beta I have been focused on getting people interested in the idea and signed up to join our beta.

I would love to learn how others have successfully got people onto a waiting list. If this was for a Slack integration that would be awesome. If not, I would still like to hear what worked for you and how much you spent to get initial traction.

About

Our goal for Givhr is to make an app that will make work more fun. Our thought is that managers and leaders want to learn about the people they are over (surveys) while employees want to enjoy work (giveaways).
