I wanted to share something I’ve been working on and get some honest feedback from this community.

I recently built and launched an iOS app called GlpFlow — a GLP-1 tracker for people using medications like Mounjaro, Ozempic and Wegovy.

Important context: I’m NOT a user of these medications.

So this has been a very interesting experience building for a market I don’t personally belong to.

Why I built it:

I started noticing how fast GLP-1 medications are growing globally, and how people often struggle with:

- tracking weekly injections

- managing side effects

- staying consistent

- understanding their own progress

Most solutions I found were either too complex, not privacy-friendly, or didn’t feel designed for everyday use.

So I decided to build something simple and privacy-first.

What the app does:

- Weekly injection tracking

- Side effects & symptom logging

- Weight and progress tracking

- Simple dashboard (no overload)

- Exportable reports (PDF / spreadsheet)

- No account required

- No cloud — everything stays on device

What I’m learning so far:

1. Getting installs is hard — but improving ASO made a noticeable difference

2. Conversion is very sensitive to friction (I just added a 3-day free trial)

3. Building for a user you are not requires constant feedback loops

4. Positioning matters more than features at this stage

Where I’m struggling:

- I don’t yet have real paying users (only early installs + tests)

- Still figuring out the best onboarding and paywall timing

- Trying to understand what truly drives perceived value for this audience

What I’d love feedback on:

- Is this a problem worth solving long-term?

- Does the “privacy-first” angle resonate or is it secondary?

- If you’ve built in health/consumer apps, what worked for you early on?
