I just open-sourced the investor portal we built for our startup. If you're a founder who needs to keep investors in the loop with private updates, this might save you weeks of development.
What it does:
Secure authentication (passwordless email links + password setup)
Send investor updates via email (Resend SMTP)
Domain-based access control (approve entire domains or specific emails)
Admin dashboard to manage access and publish updates
Beautiful, responsive UI built with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind
Tech stack:
Frontend: React + TypeScript + Vite
Backend: Netlify Functions (serverless)
Database: Firebase Firestore
Auth: Firebase Authentication
Email: Resend SMTP
UI: shadcn/ui + Tailwind CSS
Why I'm sharing this:
We built this because existing solutions were either too expensive or didn't fit our needs. Instead of keeping it private, I figured other founders might find it useful. It's fully open-source (MIT license), so you can customize it however you want.
Getting started:
Clone the repo
Set up Firebase (instructions in README)
Deploy to Netlify (or your preferred platform)
Seed your admin user
Start sharing updates!
