Gosy

I have been thinking about public new name for application. There was not much problem with Golinker, but it wasn't unique.
After implementing new features, working on new challenges, I decided to change the name of Golinker and use 'Gosy' as our new public application name and domain.🚀
I'm excited to see what future brings with the new name

het @mehmmetalisavas, awesome product you have here. Really liked the interface.
Few inputs:- the creating of the link as per the video, feels to be longer than someone would want, maybe shortening the number of options would help.
- your site i guess is new so doesnt come up in the google search or chrome extension search, SEO can be optimised.
- gl(.)tc isnt the shortest domain, i found t(.)ly on my first search on google, they seem to be offering a lot many more options and so it is on the pricier side, so eliminating the extra options and maintaining a low price might be a great idea

That's a few nice feedback. Yes It's a new product, and creating links are actually very fast with the extension. User interface for link creation might have some improvements and can be done incoming weeks I guess.
And yes you're right t-ly is shorter. I should have said shortest enough maybe :)
Thanks for the inputs @atharvakadlag !Appreciate for it
After changing from go/links to url shortener for teams. I made couple of improvements for my application.
Here is the quick tips;
-
Public and custom team links
Users can create short links for either team only or public links. Only authorized users will be able to reach links so your team links will be safe. If you wanna send your short links with the world. No problem anymore. -
Browser extension shortcuts
Users can create public links by hitting cmd+shift+L, and it will create a shortlink in your clipboard. You don't need to click somewhere else to create short link. -
Link analytics
Users can see link usage and monitor many other analytics about the link they created

I initially started with go/link platform, so people can reach their short links by going their browser and simply typing go/{short reference}.
But there was a problem with this approach. Platform was forcing people to use browser extension to be able to reach urls.
This has completely changed now. Platform use domain names instead of go/links. so everyone can reach short links by clicking urls.
This will give freedom to users to reach the urls without installing any other tool.

The Golinker (Go/Link platform) tech stack is carefully crafted to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Here's an overview of the key technologies that power the platform:
Backend Development:
- I've been using Golang for years already, so It made it easier for me to build with Golang. Also It's a nice language for web development.
Frontend Development:
- I built it using Typescript and React.
Cloud Provider:
- Google Cloud (GCP) is used as a provider. For containerization, I first deployed in kubernetes, but as a starting point, I figured out that it wasn't really necessary. So I switched to serverless approach. Believe me, It solves many future scalability problem.
Browser extension:
- For now there is only Chrome Extension available since most people prefer Chrome. Also other extensions are on the way.
Slack Integration:
- I gave opportunity to users to create and share their go/links in slack channels.

I have been working in different companies for years.
We navigate through countless URLs, bookmarks, and shortcuts every day, often struggling to keep track of them all in the company.
This was the time I decided to create go/link platform for teams.(It was a google project, so name comes from there). Also you can go to your urls typing go/link to your browser thanks to browser extension that I built for this.
It wasn't just about creating shorter links. It's a tool that would enhance collaboration, react your links easier, share & keep every link in the team at one place.
