Good Books
Book recommendations from successful people.
I put a lot of planning into the launch but I was still surprised with the traction it got. Some quick stats:
π₯ #1 Product of the Day (on-track for #1 of the week)
π 20,000 spike in traffic
π 400 newsletter subscribers
π Shared by Webflow and Product Hunt on their socials
π Picked up a couple of Site of the Day awards
I'm planning on writing up a full post sharing my learnings/advice.
Thanks to everyone who supported by upvoting! π
Excited to launch a side project I've been working on today! π
Good Books is a curated collection of book recommendations from some of the most successful, influential and interesting people around the world.
The Product Hunt is set to go live in a few hours. Wish me luck! π

This project started about 6-months ago when I started to keep track of all the books that I wanted to read and who recommended them. I struggled to navigate the UX of most of the website around that have already tackled this. I then got (a little) obsessed with the project and ended up accumulating over 15,000 book recommendations from about 1,250 people...
I built Good Books to share these book recommendations with the world, organising them into simple categories and industries so it's easy to find your next read.
What's next for Good Books?
π 100s more recommendations every month
πββοΈ Adding more interesting people (who would you like to see?)
π Writing some curated recommendation lists
π© Planning a weekly newsletter with recommendations
π΅οΈββοΈ Adding sources to book recommendations

Would love to know what tools you pick for newsletter. I'm having difficulty with that at the moment. Thanks.
I've set up an audience with Mailchimp, however, I've had a lot of experience with Autopilot so might switch over. I need to look into ConvertKit as another option also. Will keep you in the loop :)
