I am new to this world. The start up world. IndieHacker, SaaS, NoCode, its all new to me.
My very quick story starts with a once in a lifetime opportunity to take 3 months paternity leave when my third child was 6 months old. I was very fortunate to have this opportunity and best use of it by looking after three kids everyday. We went to parks, did the shopping, made sure baths and dinner was complete everyday and just hung out having fun. (My tip, which I only discovered at the end of the paternity leave is children's parks are often located near craft breweries).
I never expected that by the end of the three months, I had developed a NoCode app and launched to my first paying customers. I think part of the surprise was I didn't think I had a start-up idea in me. I guess time away from work, surrounded by people you love allows you to relax and reflect and BAM! Just like that, I had an idea. An idea I couldn't get out of my head until I had built it.
Which is my story how I developed GoodQuestion. A note taking & collaboration tool built for panel interviewers. A place where interview notes, scores and interview questions can be shared between panel members. A place where handwritten notes that get lost, are hard to read and can't be easily shared or stored is replaced with a simple interface that guides the interviewer through the process.
I also never thought anyone would be interested in it. But, just like the other amazing things in my story, people actually did want it. And they wanted to pay me for it.
So here I am. Posting on IndieHackers to a community I have enjoyed getting to know immensely and whose opinion I value.
My web app, GoodQuestion is available at GoodQuestion.io
I'd love your thoughts!
