Add data overlays to sports videos
I broke the bank of the user's source. This is a great tip, note it down.
Find questions on Reddit where your tool is the answer. And...
ANSWER THE FIRST COMMENT IN THE THREAD
This gives you huge visibility. It's the answer for the comment, but if the topic is big enough, brings a lot of eyes that ends up directly on your link.
One comment like this can bring me even 10 visitors daily.
I started to ask users by private email if they need assistance or if they published it. It's wrong. I think everything ended up in spam.
I GOT IT! I saw the first user shared their video with the overlays!
And he is doing it frequently.
October was the month of stabilization. Because before the app was so buggy and unusable, so I am sorry for the first users. The good part was that I saw the users actually trying multiple things to make it work. (some of them were waiting for even 2h to render the overlays!!!)
That was the month I thought I was going to make "viral" videos on Instagram (that is my target) with weird units/units related trivia/cycling team friends roasts. But even with 2000 views, there was not even 1 user opening the website. So I left the idea.
Luckily the Reddit comments worked a bit and I saw stable 5 views (and 1-3 usages) daily. So I saw there is a hope

In September I just created a proof of concept while being on my Europe bike trip. But indeed, I could use it in my videos. Also, the live product basically didn't work. So the first-ever user was motivated enough to find my Instagram and write about the problem there. That was a HUUUUUUUGE Boost in confidence.

I was on my Portugal-Poland Europe backpacking trip. The trip was supposed to be the last 2 months of my travelling 9 months. After that, I need to go back to work (full-time, because all my business ideas failed).
I knew I wanted to share some videos from there. I liked riding downhill, but the camera often showed how fast or steep it was. So overlays with the speed would be amazing. The only 2 tools I was familiar with were either ridiculously clunky or expensive. Then I connected the dots - I can make it on my own. It can't be too difficult. It is just a timestamp and coordinates. I made the prototype I used in my video in one day.

It is just a tool that I needed. So I built it and shared it on Reddit and turned out I got more and more users from there. So this is my main bet for now.
