Graaphics
Create easy, effective social media graphics.
I wanted to make some more time to focus on other projects so I listed Graaphics for sale on Flippa with an asking price of $4,500 USD. With that I also provided a list of everything I planned on doing to grow it.
There were a few people interested over a period of about three weeks and eventually I found an interested buyer who also saw the value in the tool.
The buyer wanted to use Graaphics for book reviews and to use Graaphics as an add-on to their eco-system.
I made sure that the code-base was up-to-date and well commented. I also recorded a very thorough video explaining how the code worked.
We settled for asking price and I handled the transfer of ownership.
It's great to see the tool being given the attention that I wouldn't have been able to give it and I hope that it continues to be useful for people!
We finished as the top #4 product of the day with over 100 upvotes. Great to see some positive feedback and it resulted in a customer paying for an annual subscription.
It's fun to see a hobby project be useful enough for someone to pay for and I'd love to see it in the hands of more people.

Up until two months ago, I'd never made anything for the web outside of WordPress so there was a lot to learn but I enjoyed using React and Firebase for the first time.
This was a project to figure out the whole process from start to finish and I now feel confident to create more stuff.

I thought that the templates on Canva were ugly so I thought I could do something better. Graaphics has now been sold and is mainly used for book reviews.
