Grainient

When I started Grainient, the idea was simple: help designers and creators find high-quality gradients and AI-generated visuals without spending hours searching or creating everything from scratch.

It began as a small design resource. Today, it attracts more than 50,000 visitors every month and generates around $6,000 in monthly revenue.

The biggest lesson has been that you don’t always need to build a complicated product. Sometimes, solving one clear problem exceptionally well—and presenting it in a way people enjoy using—is enough to create real value.

A few things that helped Grainient grow:

• Focusing on a specific audience instead of trying to serve everyone

• Treating visual quality as part of the product, not just decoration

• Continuously adding fresh assets so users have a reason to return

• Listening to how customers actually use the product

• Making the experience simple, fast, and easy to explore

There were plenty of moments when growth felt slow, and I wasn’t sure whether the product would become sustainable. But small improvements, consistent releases, and word of mouth gradually started compounding.

50K monthly visitors and $6K monthly revenue may not sound massive to everyone, but seeing something I created become a profitable product used by thousands of people feels incredible.

This milestone is not the finish line. I’m continuing to improve Grainient, expand the collection, and explore new ways to help creatives produce better work faster.
