Making progress on more GriffinPlan (https://www.griffinplan.co) features (slow progress, but progress).
- Ability to add programs and link projects to them, along with adding vendors and linking people to them (for contractors or temporary help)
- Additional reporting features to group by program and vendor
- Features to transition reporting periods from being in the future to being forecasted to having actuals available to finally being archived as prior periods.
Next release to enable support for budgets to track against.
Thank you to all who provided feedback on the landing page. Some updates were made based on your suggestions and more are to come.
On GriffinPlan itself, I was able to launch two new features this weekend - being able to filter people by vendor (for contracted staff), and being able to group projects by programs. Both of these are useful as the numbers of people and projects increase and in looking at distribution of effort across the team.

Launched a landing page recently for GriffinPlan and could use some feedback.
Is it clear who the product is for and what problem it solves? What could be improved?

Knowing quite a bit about that space, I'd be very cautious. There's a lot of competition (e.g. PSA software, resource/workforce scheduling software, etc.), and the way you present your product doesn't indicate that you really grasp that.
The basic requirements for such a piece of software tend to be pretty complex, and the current landing page doesn't address them very well.
You need to present the things I'm going to be able to achieve with your product with more clarity, underline the benefits more obviously and especially insist on differentiation.

Hi. Thank you for the feedback. I agree this is a complex and crowded space. But having worked in PMOs and IT departments for several years, I see this as an area with which we frequently struggle. And there is a gap to be addressed. There is a fair amount of foundational CRUD that needs to built first. I have a lengthy backlog of features to be developed and I hope that as I develop these more valuable parts it will become clearer the tasks and benefits possible(both in being able to show them, and in explaining them better). Oh, you're definitely right that it's an area where PMOs struggle. As project management and resource management mature, they become more popular, and there are countless programs getting started everyday to implement them in companies from the smallest to the largest.
However, I would caution against trying to build a "foundation" before you figure out what the killer feature is going to be. As I said, there are many products out there that already offer far more than you're showing here, and if you have no plan to differentiate from them at any point, building your product doesn't make much sense. If you do have a differentiation/killer feature, I would suggest building THAT, even if it's limited to a certain use case/type of user, instead of trying to have all the foundation ready before you can build on it. The foundation itself won't sell, it's just table stakes.

Design was good, your intended audience was also clear. I was looking to see more examples of the platform but only found the one picture. Maybe this would deter potential customers by not having sufficient visuals? Otherwise nice work!

Hi. Useful feedback. At the time of launching, that was the only page I thought made sense to show. I have since updated that one and built a few others. Will work them into the landing page to give a better view.

GriffinPlan is intended to provide smart IT resource management and budgeting. This would be an integrated version of project portfolio management (PPM) and professional services automation (PSA) capabilities for internal IT departments at mid-sized companies. That is a lot of words that could mean many things, so let me explain.
