Christmas is always tough for my family. There are 2 grandparents, 4 adults, and 4 grandchildren. Everyone creates a gift list of things and ideas they’d like to receive.

Every year, the same problems appear:

1. Everyone creates their own Google doc. This brings its own issues: forgetting to share with everyone, inconsistent formatting, numerous links to keep track of

2. No one knows if someone has purchased something on a list. 3 things happen as a result:

• There are constant conversations asking if an item is still available
• just buying a gift and increasing the chance of buying a duplicate
• having to return an item after finding out it’s already been bought

My idea is to create an app that allows groups of people to create lists together. You’ll be able to claim items on others lists without them seeing, but everyone else in the group will.
