Hi y'all! My co-founder Milan and I launched our own digital branding and marketing company for business owners to get high quality branding and technical support on their marketing activities. I wanted to gather some insights from this community on what your experience has been like with other such agencies? Where have they lacked and what were the gap areas? What went well? Did you have business needs that were not covered or handled well? Were you happy with the results?

That's a lot of q's - but I'd say that, after having partnered with quite a few agencies, formerly having owned an agency, having been around agencies via clients and co-working spaces...the #1 thing that I see most often is simply the burn rate of a founder or business owner's cash that is put towards "branding", print and web "collateral", "social posting" and "email newsletters" -- all of which could be fine, if only there were some performance metrics tied in.
Oh...and SEO...every agency out there seems to love to pitch SEO...a long slow effort with no promise of any business soon.
I'm always encouraging founders to look for something tangible out of it. For what it's worth. If you can show results, you will be way ahead of the crowd!
