I was still pretty confused on my own business. But in my head I had a solid plan. I had never been put in this type of entrepreneurial light before. I was actually advocating something that I believed in, in front of 50+ people. It was real and when/if you ever get in that moment, you will know that it's real now. It's not just a project anymore.
5 minutes for a presentation and a Q&A was the allotted time we received. Yeah. 5 minutes. Explaining my idea at this meeting was nothing more than the best learning experience i've ever had. Although before the presentation I was confident that everything would be amazing and the audience would eat it up.
On the first hand explaining my startup is a very hard thing for the general public to handle because it is very unorthodox by nature. I do associate the term "search" with my startup which I know is a VERY ballsy move. Basically because Google owns the term "search." So to explain WHY I use the term search with my startup needs a walkthrough, trail, and "longer than a five minute slot" I know for a fact.
After all I am very glad I was able to pitch my startup to an audience. It gave me a very good direction, information, and ideas. As well as finally take that next step as an entrepreneur so to say. haha.

What was simply an attempt to grow my community via email list, provide value, and connect my subscribers shifted to a more structural, scalable business plan.
