September 26, 2019 Lined up second demo, this time with more people!

We showed the product to a friend that's deep into the Instagram and Influencer marketing space. She was really excited about the product, and helped us arrange a second demo with a few more people that could benefit from it.

Happy to know that Gumball is something that people actually need!

September 16, 2019 First demo complete!

We’ve been wanting to demo Gumball for about a month now so we can start getting feedback, but it wasn’t quite ready for primetime.

Happy to say that we’ve got a MVP stable and functional enough that we could do a live demo with a real, live human being other than ourselves. Feels great to have a working app that people can click through and use! All in all, it took about five weeks to get to this point.

We’ve already received feedback about use cases and features we hadn’t considered before. Next step - more interviews!

July 20, 2019 New logo, who dis?

We don't have a budget for a logo designer, so I whipped this one up myself in Sketch for zero dollars. Pretty cool that you can use Sketch for logo design!

Wanted to keep the logo fun and bold, and something a user wouldn't mind looking at everyday.

Would love to hear your thoughts on it! Likes? Dislikes?

Hey @thinkkeyspeak! I'm a fan of your new logo - nice work! 👏

July 9, 2019 Landing page done!

Built Gumball's landing page using Launchaco, which is amazing! (Their website says they've been acquired by Namecheap - hope the features remain in place!)

Would definitely appreciate feedback on it - What questions do you have after looking at it? What would keep you from signing up?

Launchaco is great, but they’re dead since acquisition, you can’t upgrade to premium. Their website mentions early 2019 for the new product with namecheap, but it’s 2nd part of 2019 now.

Ah that's a huge bummer. I don't understand why Namecheap couldn't keep Launchaco running as a standalone product and just bring people onto Namecheap plans when registering domains.

Any alternative landing page builders that you recommend?

Ah yeah, duh. I've used it for personal portfolio type site before. Will have to see how it would work for a product.

Hey @thinkkeyspeak, it's a very clean page - not sure on how it renders for others but on mine the phone displays quite low on the hero (hides part of the phone under the next section) and the second phone looks a bit thin.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the hero image is below the fold when I view it in Safari on an iPhone 7. Not much I can do about it though since I'm using the Launchaco page builder. Agree the phone does look a little lanky. Will have to look into that!

Oh true, lunchaco doesn't allow to move it. Apologies I did forget about that small caveat. Anyway, good job!

Nice! The page looks super clean!

May 1, 2019 Created Gumball Prototype

For a long time, Gumball was an idea rolling around in my head. It wasn't doing much good sitting up there, so I took the next step, which was to get my ideas on paper and create the designs in Sketch. At the same time, I was checking to see if the design was technically feasible. Now that's confirmed, we can move onto shopping the idea around and checking for market demand.
