Habitate.io
Add community discussions to any website π
I have been writing this as a goal to be completed for weeks now, but priorities kept changing, new feature requests walked but finally pressed it hard, and done today.
Primary reasons to change:
- Not many visitors were impressed by our previous landing page
- Didn't like our last pricing model
- Product UI UX updated
I found it hard in copywriting being, not a native English speaker, but glad many internet friends came forward to help. My tip to you - ask for help, don't be shy. We can't be good at everything we do for the first time.
Do visit our landing page and let me know your thoughts! Always room for improvement.
What's next:
- Testimonials are missing - which I am working on now.
A bit of intro before I tell you how did I get there.
Habitate helps you set up a community on your website so that you can engage with your visitors/customers.

My three acquisition channels:
Strictly No paid advertisement.
- Love from existing customers on twitter! This is the best.
- Tweets from my personal account [ Also builds personal brand]
- Referral from existing customer websites [I see more conversion]
- Indiehackers, it's you people who showered <3 on my posts.
- 17 cold outreach emails! The MOM book helped me a lot on this regard. [ Still learning, share any tips]
P.S - Last week I was on 42, and hoping to it this number next week. In the middle of the week, I had one churn too. I wanted to celebrate when I reach 50 but didn't notice that I surpassed it today morning. I am late by 19 hours to celebrate.

Got nothing in the pocket, even if I want to π.
But I like this journey a whole lot better. (Listen, Build, Talk) - in loop.

Congratulations!
Related to cold outreach emails, cold emailing is... "cold". It becomes a game of numbers. Personally, I would suggest building a list between 100 and 1000 prospects and engage them using https://mailchimp.com/
You can personalize emails with Mailchimp and it will look less cold. The email will become something like "Hi [[firstName]] [[familyName]], bla bla..." and you will also be able to see which people opened your email, who clicked on your link, etc. Also make sure the value proposition is clear within few sentences. For cold email I would recommend less than 3 medium-short sentences.

One of our customers, the Guvi Edutech platform reaches 2000 members, adding 200+ per week. We are so excited and happy for them, and best wishes to reach 10k soon. They launched their community as beta inside their app and used our service to engage with their students, peer to peer review and a place to reach out to tutors. Over 75% of the students reported positive feedback about the platform.
Side Note: We are working on the feedbacks and coming up with some game-changing features in the coming weeks.

Hey deepak as someone who has been exploring the same space, good job on the implementation. I would recommend working on the copy writing on the landing page. Its a bit confusing and too wordy. Might want to tighten it up a bit. Good luck !
Thank you @pranaysingh, would love to hear what you working on too then.
I wanted to start off bit wordy, with a manifesto and stuff, and reduce the text as the popularity increases.
@deepak09 I'm working on downtotrade.com. A community for traders looking to meet and discuss the markets with other traders.
Page looks clean, I like the background gray logo, nice touch. Not too excited about red->blue gradient color. :)
But overal I think it's an improvement over previous page.
Yeah! the gradient might have its own cult fan base I suppose π
I will probably wait a week or two on the feedbacks. Thanks man.
