June 21, 2026 Why Auction Data Is Surprisingly Fragmented

If you're interested in art auctions, collectibles, jewellery, watches or antiques, finding relevant upcoming sales can be surprisingly difficult.

Most auction houses maintain their own websites, calendars and search systems. A collector following a specific artist may need to check dozens of auction house websites regularly. Dealers often monitor multiple categories, while investors look for opportunities across regions and auction markets.

The result is a fragmented auction ecosystem where valuable information exists but is difficult to discover efficiently.

While building HammerAlert, I found that auction data is spread across hundreds of auction houses, each using different formats, categories and schedules. Simply keeping track of upcoming auctions can become a time-consuming task.

HammerAlert was created to solve this problem by aggregating auction listings from more than 150 auction houses into a single auction calendar. Users can search upcoming sales, track artists and categories, and receive auction alerts when relevant lots become available.

The goal is not to replace auction houses. The goal is to make auction discovery easier for collectors, dealers and investors who want a better way to follow the global auction market.

I'm curious how others currently track auctions and whether you use any tools to monitor artists, collectibles or specific auction categories.

June 21, 2026 Why I Built HammerAlert

As a collector and auction follower, I found myself checking dozens of auction house websites to keep track of upcoming sales.

The information exists, but it is fragmented. Each auction house has its own website, schedule and search tools. Following specific artists, categories or collecting interests often means repeating the same searches across many different sites.

I built HammerAlert to solve that problem.

HammerAlert aggregates upcoming auctions from more than 150 auction houses into a single calendar, making it easier to discover relevant sales and track opportunities from one place.

The goal is simple: spend less time searching and more time finding interesting lots.

I'm still improving the platform and would welcome feedback from collectors, dealers and anyone who regularly follows auctions.
