The pandemic is becoming tensed, a lot of organizations like Twitter, Google, Facebook are switching to Remote work. What now becomes of early startups.

At Happierco, one of the interesting thing about how we work is that we practice what we preach. Our mission and vision is part of our daily lives too. There's peace, harmony, transparency, accountability and engagement across all levels of the company.

Every employee have each other at heart. Our workplace has become our happy place. But now we're facing a terrible pandemic that we have to prioritize life and safety more.

We switched to Remote work quickly on March 19, 2020. But that's not the most interesting thing, it was our pre-remote that made it successful.

We had team members who have never worked remotely before, therefore, to be on the same page, we tested tools that made remote work seamless. Starting with communication tools like:

• Tandem (of which we later switched to Zoom)
• Slack was already part of our daily communication tool
• WhatsApp group for quick messages
• Engineering teams already had GitLab, Jira, etc.
• Thanks to our CEO, Ulrich Sossou @sorich87, who introduced Notion 2 months earlier.

It wasn't that easy at first for the team, we normally faced bad internet connection issues. Adjusting to WFH lifestyle wasn't easy especially for our new interns.

We had morning standup meetings, departmental meetings, all hands meetings. But as time passed by, with consistency and a little twisting and adjustment, we eventually built a great Remote work culture everyone loves.

Of course, this wouldn't have been possible without having great leaders and happy employees. This is why we're Happierco.
