We've reached 5000 users 🎉 And increased our daily signups by 5x - probably due to me posting comments on Reddit

In February, ca 10-15 new people joined every day on average. In March, so far it's been 60-70 new people joining every day. Massive increase. 💪

This is probably the result of me posting in old Reddit threads that come up on Google. Reddit used to archive old threads, but they opened it all up about a year ago. In some cases 7 and even 10 years old Reddit threads come up when people are searching for some specific workout routine. Hardy includes those routines, so I post a link, with some info, and it seems to be actually helping people find what they're looking for.

This has two benefits, first people find what they're looking for through a Hardy link and come join, secondly it helps our SEO and next time Hardy.app workout routine link itself will be higher on Google for the same keywords.

I haven't yet made a thread about Hardy to any of the weight training subreddits. I only comment, and only in posts where it is actually useful information, so it wouldn't be just me spamming the link. I do want to make a thread at some point to some of the bigger workout related subreddits, but I'm also really trying to avoid coming off as spammy.

    Hello!

    1. Do you mention hardy in these comments?
    2. Can you cite any examples of your actions?

      Hey,

      1. Yea, I link and mention Hardy. I only post in threads where people have specifically asked about some routine that we have on Hardy or they have asked about gym workout apps with a feature that Hardy has, so me mentioning the name doesn't come off as too spammy, as I'm only answering to their question. Luckily Reddit is full of people asking a lot of genuine questions.

      2. If it's about a specific routine, the question might look like "Apps where to track x routine?" and my reply often looks something like this:

"Old thread but here's 5/3/1 BBB on Hardy.app, if anybody is interested. It's a free app that includes all the progressions, deloads, etc, just enter your 1RM-s/TM-s and press start.

And if it's a questions about gym apps in general where to log 5/3/1 workouts, my comment often looks like this:

Old thread but Hardy.app, there's a bunch of 5/3/1 routines added (like BBB, I'm not doing jack sh*t, Triumvirate etc). They include the progressions, deloads etc rules. To make your own, there's a template there. To track, just enter your 1RM-s and press start. It's a free app.

These two are about 5/3/1 routines which are a type of gym workout programs, it's a type of training methodology that many follow (as well as ourselves as founders). There's also others, that Hardy supports as well.

At first I included the fact that I'm the cofounder (usually in the format of "full disclosure, I'm the… and such and such") to be more transparent but after months I've distilled the message as short and quick as I can. I think at the end of the day it speeds things up for the reader.

        Hi Peedu

Thank you for taking the time to explain things so clearly. You've helped me a lot!
