"Augmented Reality" For Web Testers
Headlamp has been showered with endorsements by the world's top software testing experts! Here's the latest one:
Hello, my Hearty Headlamp Hounds. Please check out our launch on Show HackerNews and give it a comment and an upvote!
Last time I tried this, I got a nearly-good result of zero comments and upvotes. One upvote would be a terrific improvement! :)

TL;DR: I'm doing the posts and grabbing eyeballs, but not nearly enough yet.
Here's an update on my scattershot marketing efforts for "Headlamp", my newly-launched test tool:

In the last two days, Headlamp got:
- 77 landing page visitors
- 1 new user
- For the first time ever, one user was so engaged that they actually downloaded the sample test automation project, loaded it into Visual Studio or VS Code, and ran it yesterday.
I'm not sure what's working or what I need to do more of, just winging it based on tips I'm seeing here on IndieHackers and elsewhere.
My recent activities include:
- Started commenting on the QualityAssurance subreddit.
- Created a personal Twitter account @WhidbeyHacker, so I'll be tweeting from there and leaving the Product Twitter account @HeadlampTest to rot for a while.
- Started a LinkedIn Premium trial with the intention of reaching out 1:1 to people in Test Manager positions. (<== This is super scary to me! There are so few leads I'm afraid to burn through them all with my ham-fisted DMs before I have a chance to grow to be a cool, smooooooth salesguy like the rest of you.)
- Did a Show HackerNews post that completely bombed. Crickets. Will re-try because I posted as a link, without the chance to talk about it in a description, and I think I can come up with a more controversial title to stir the pot.
...Lots of tactics, no real strategy other than to make lots of noise.
So, IndieHackers, should I try other things or focus on the same stuff for a while?

I'll post about Headlamp on ProductHunt soon.
Please see the landing page [https://HeadlampTest.com] for info. Let me know if it's understandable, then give the free Chrome extension a try.
Does it work with YOUR landing page and product?
Is it something your team would use and pay for?

About
We all ship imperfect web apps, but it really sucks when we deploy with obvious bugs. Headlamp solves this problem by showing what UI elements our tests missed.
