Privacy-first, browser-based HEIC conversion tool
Hey everyone! 👋
I’ve been working on a tool that I personally really needed: a HEIC to JPG Converter.
Like many of you, I have an iPhone, but the HEIC format is a nightmare when you need to upload files or share them. I looked for online converters, but every single one of them was either:
Full of annoying ads.
OR—more importantly—they upload your private photos to their server to process them. I wasn't comfortable with that. So, I decided to build my own.
What’s different about this one? It’s 100% browser-based. The conversion happens locally in your own browser using client-side processing. Your photos never leave your device. Period.
I’ve been "Building in Public" on this to learn more about SEO (specifically Schema Markup) and UX optimization.

Great idea and the site is well-polished! HEIC files are great between phones but a headache for most other image needs.
