I made a new HN account (because I'd like to keep some semblance of anonymity) and submitted my link as a Show HN. Sadly, the new account was flagged as a spam bot and I had to reach out to the mods for help. I haven't gotten many upvotes (yet).

Finished the MVP
After lots of coding, lots of back-and-forth with the awesome GiveDirectly team, and some frustrating troubleshooting to make the PayPal side work, I got a basic MVP working.
The hardest part may have been drawing the secret surprise pictures—I'm no artist!

Initial commit!
I realized I wanted to propose to my girlfriend, and wanted to do it in a special way. I came up with this idea and started coding!
