Email vs Instagram: Which One Brings More Value? Unveiling the True Worth of Your Email List!

Based on their conversation, it seems that having 1 million Instagram followers is equivalent in value to having 20,000 email subscribers. This translates to a ratio of 50 to 1.

A friend of mine runs an eComm brand that has 180K IG followers and 60K email subs. The IG followers are almost completely worthless for actual conversions. Organic reach is so restricted that they usually have to run paid remarketing audiences just to put something in front of their own followers. Email drives all the revenue.
That said, without Instagram, they wouldn't have any email subscribers. So social platforms are still critical for building the email base for many brands.
Sort of comparing apples to oranges I think.
