HIGHSCORE domains
A fun leaderboard to find out who owns more domains
Two days back I posted this tweet after connecting the Strip account to the Indie Hackers page here.
At that point had one PRO customer and one more customer was on trial. Today the trial expired and we now officially have two PRO customers with monthly subscriptions.
My last post was about rebranding HIGHSCORE.domains to HighscoreWeb.com and it's not happening anymore.
π€ Sent out the second part of the email saying http://HIGHSCORE.domains will stay as it is.
TL;DR: Unfortunately (or is it fortunately?) not going ahead with the rebranding/migrations. HIGHSCORE.domains will stay as it is.
Not a TL;DR:
After the last email and the poll on Twitter, had conversations with a couple of people. Realized that most of us "liked" highscoreweb.com but few of us "loved" the initial HIGHSCORE.domains leaderboard concept.
π
Will be continuing as the fun leaderboard to find out who owns more domains
πWe can showcase our domain names - including the one we just bought and haven't set up a website yet. (domains that aren't reachable were hidden; will add back soon but without the "Visit" link since it is not reachable)
β
Start working on verifying domain ownership (this is long overdue!)
π Few tools for domain owners (don't have an exact plan of what tools to build but feel free to let me know if you would like to see any tools)
To get more visibility to featured domains, I'm also thinking of running few campaigns/monthly contests for finding "Fanciest domain names", etc. Let me know if you have any ideas to bounce around. Any thoughts? Feel free to reply or hop on our discord server. Have a great day!

I have been sharing screenshots of monthly stats for HIGHSCORE.domains on Twitter and this time decided to open up our analytics dashboard to everyone.
This would be helpful especially for our PRO customers since they can track how many visits they got from showcasing their website above our leaderboard.

There are a couple of things I did.
- Started showing only the verified count in the leaderboard hence it brings some credibility and doesn't look like spam
- Added a coupon
juneOFFand auto applied in the Flurly URL: https://flurly.com/p/highscore-member?coupon=juneOFF - Since it's paid now, allowed members to showcase up to 5 domains without going PRO.

π€ Starting today, I'm charging a one-time fee of $10 for new entries. More details here: https://flurly.com/p/highscore-member

HIGHSCORE.domains is #10 on Product Hunt and featured on the newsletter for May 26th.
Usually, #1 is what people look for and get more excited about.
I think #10 is cool too. Since it's last on the list and easy to notice. Just kidding.
The reason it feels like a milestone to me is that I did not plan this launch.
Product Hunt Launch was better in every single way than I thought. Actually gave me a boost to try scheduling and use tools like https://previewhunt.com/ next time π
Here is the stats: https://www.haptic.so/p/highscore/117
- Got 10th position of the day and hence featured on their newsletter π₯³
- Got ~1K page views (~796 uniques)

Now that we have a leaderboard to find out who owns more domains, I thought it would be fun to have a page to showcase domain names we own and people can vote for the fancies domain names π»
Yay!, so we have one more feature shipped in https://HIGHSCORE.domains π
Not really sure what's next - Cloudflare, Namecheap, other registrar integrations to sync domains count?
or maybe even have a private dashboard for all members to see their downs registered on different registrars? Curious to know what you would like to see next π
and yes, don't forget to showcase your domain name too π

Congrats, first customers are the hardest to get!
Your website looks cool, but I am not sure why would I visit it. I understand it's a leaderboard based on how many domains someone owns, but why should I care about that? Or why would I want to say "I won 10 domains"?
I know right, why would someone do that?! I think it's just for fun.
I just tweeted a typeform to ask how many domains people owned since I started hoarding domains for (unfinished) side projects. Was curious to know how many domains others had.
Later made it as a website and it's still running. Probably have to shut it down when no one cares π π
That said, next feature I was tinkering with for the PRO customers is getting notified when their websites/domains are mentioned on Twitter without tagging them. Let's see how many people uses that π€
Congrats!
Thank you! :)
