House Analytica
Helping people find undervalued property in Italy.
For over a month I've had the code ready, but I've waited too long to wrap everything together. But now it's finally in place and I can now finally start to measure user activity better. The service is still free though, which will be the next step understand traction. I have also added some custom events on Google Analytics and feel that I'm finally good to go.
Now I want to receive as much feedback as possible, but also need to improve the product during the coming week as there still are some obvious flaws. But at leat the first step is taken and I'm ready for users to come and get me! :D
It took me about two months of hard work to finish the first version of the product. I didn't know web development before building the website and I had to learn along the way. Being my first website ever, I was very satisfied with my result and that I'd accomplished everything by myself.
Now the difficult part starts, finding users and get quality feedback so I can improve the product to something people actually would like to pay for.

As I was looking for houses in Italy, where I had just moved, I realised that the filters used by the online listing websites were really limited. I had to do some scraping alone and did some analyses to find interesting areas and worthwhile property.
Soon enough, I realised I could create a website out of this, and share my analyses with other people that might have the same problems I had. I iterated the idea with around 4-5 of my brightest friends. After this I started to build the product in the end of September.

When I first started to looked for houses, I realised nobody knows the underlying, intrinsic value. It's also difficult to find something good manually online without doing some web scraping.
