AEO Analytics Software for Agencies

August 31, 2026 Hoverboard AI was built for agencies who offer AEO/GEO services and needed an alternative to the overpriced big name tools

I ran a digital marketing agency for many years, grew it to $20M ARR and over $6M EBITDA, and then sold it a few years back to private equity. At the end of last year, I had fulfilled my required time and then transitioned into marketing software. That wasn't new to me, as we built our own software while at the agency and kept it proprietary so that we had a leg up over over competitors. It was also an important part of getting a great multiple when we sold. So software wasn't new for me. But after going out on my own, I really wanted to build something that would help other agency owners who offered AEO/GEO services. So Hoverboard AI was born.

Before building Hoverboard AI, my (former) agency had tried out multiple AEO platforms and weren't fully in love with any of them. From an agency standpoint, I knew what was lacking. When you're generating millions of dollars per year on AEO services alone, you need to make sure you have a tool that helps you do the very best job of answer engine optimization possible. The existing AI visibility platforms were solid, but they needed to be better, easier to use and not so outrageous pricing wise when you need all the bells and whistles in your plan . Most were built for enterprise brands, came loaded with features our clients would never use, and were priced accordingly.

Knowing what a typical agency needs is why I built Hoverboard AI and why it's the best tool for agencies who manage AEO/GEO services for multiple clients. That includes white label reporting options, an audit tool so that sales reps can sell more AEO services, an awesome content generation tool that's built SEO friendly, the ability to assign tasks to team members, and many other useful features related to citation analysis. But the feature that's best is the recommended actions page. This makes it easy for users, so whether they are new or experienced, this is a very powerful feature that is key to doing great AI optimization work.

Having data is one thing...but turning that data into something useful is completely different. Knowing that a client appeared in 23% of prompts is interesting. Knowing which specific sources influence those answers, what competitors are doing better, and what to work on next is what agencies can actually sell and that enables them to do a great job of AEO. In the end, that means you keep clients longer and you generate more revenue.

It’s already being used by multiple agencies and brands (and at least two that are generating 7-figures in ARR from their AEO services), but we’re still shipping constantly. AEO is moving ridiculously fast, and I don’t think anyone has the whole playbook figured out yet.

I’d love feedback from other founders and agency owners:

Are clients already asking you about visibility in AI answers? If so, how are you measuring it today?

The recommended-actions layer feels more commercially important than the visibility data itself. Curious whether agencies are mainly using Hoverboard to improve the work they already sell, or whether the audit + action workflow is actually helping them package and sell more AEO services.
