HubPlate
AI-powered restaurant management. One platform. Zero fees. T
Here you go:
I got tired of watching restaurants get bled dry. So I built the platform to fix it.
Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I'm the solo founder and developer behind HubPlate — a cloud-native, AI-powered restaurant management platform I built entirely from scratch.
The problem I set out to solve:
Restaurant operators are getting crushed by legacy POS systems that charge transaction fees on every single order, lock them into expensive proprietary hardware, and fragment their entire operation across tools that never talk to each other. The average restaurant doing $80k/month is losing thousands every month just in fees alone — before a single operational problem is even considered.
That felt wrong to me. So I built something better.
What I built:
HubPlate replaces every fragmented restaurant tool with one flat-fee ecosystem. $99/month per location. Zero transaction fees. Zero commissions. Everything included.
✅ Cloud-based POS that runs on any device the operator already owns
✅ AI-powered menu suggestions via Google Gemini
✅ Real-time inventory tracking and precision recipe costing
✅ Smart staff scheduling and one-click payroll exports
✅ Visual seating maps and dynamic reservation management
✅ Kitchen display systems with millisecond ticket syncing
✅ Commission-free online ordering with Uber Direct integration
✅ Built-in CRM, loyalty programs and gift cards
✅ 100% offline resilience
✅ Multi-location command dashboard
No hardware tax. No hidden fees. No long-term contracts.
The journey so far:
I started as a solo entrepreneur — built a thrift store from a single eBay listing to an 8,500 square foot retail space, then grew a junk removal business from the ground up. When I decided to teach myself software development I knew exactly what I wanted to build and why.
HubPlate is the biggest and most important thing I have ever built. We are live, onboarding our first restaurants, and growing.
The honest reality of building solo:
Building a full SaaS platform alone is humbling. There were moments of serious doubt. But every time I talked to a restaurant operator and heard the same frustrations — the same fees, the same broken tools, the same feeling of being trapped — it reminded me exactly why this needed to exist.
Where I am now:
Platform is live ✅
Early restaurants onboarding ✅
Content and SEO strategy in full swing ✅
Building an independent sales rep network ✅
14-day free trial live at hubplate.app ✅
What I am looking for:
Feedback from other founders who have navigated early SaaS growth
Connections in the restaurant and hospitality space
Anyone who knows operators tired of overpaying for their current system
Would love to hear from the IH community — what would you do differently in the early onboarding stage? And if you know any restaurant operators who need a better platform, send them my way. 🙏
About
The restaurant industry was being overcharged and underserved by technology that was built to extract money rather than create value. I built HubPlate to change that.
