Apps have to be reviewed and approved before they can go live on the Atlassian Marketplace.

I submitted the app three weeks ago. Heard nothing until a couple days ago. They said it usually takes 10 days, it took three weeks for me.

It was approved and I made it live right away.

Interestingly, you can provide a Google Analytics code in the marketplace and it records pageviews and events on your marketplace listing. It's been fun to see some people finding the app.
