6-Figure Business Baby!

Less than 12 months after launching we reached a great milestone! Hypefury is a 6-figure business!!! Yeah!

6 figure

At the moment of this writing, we’re serving almost 600 customers and we’ve been growing quite steadily over the last couple of months.

users

Our biggest challenge is keeping our churn under control. We’re a little over 10% and that’s a bit too high.

Creating a habit-forming product

We’re implementing all sorts of features so our users have an easier time forming a habit around our product.

We don’t offer a magic pill to grow your Twitter audience but we do make it a lot easier to do.

You still need to put in the work though and we see that a lot of people just fall off because they fail to put in a consistent amount of work to create and hone tweets.

We're introducing a 1-click-schedule-a-tweet email when you're queue is empty.

We're introducing a weekly digest email to show you what your best tweets were so you can learn and improve your Twitter game.

User behavior is key

It’s not always clear to our users what value we bring outside a great way to schedule tweets.

We also didn’t really know and focus on what features people are using and what features lead to a higher CLV or lower churn.

We just implemented Amplitude which is a great way to get insights on the use of your app.

amplitude

Indiehackers can apply for their scholarship program here. You can get access to their growth plan if you’re admitted which retails for $40,000 /year!!

In the coming months, we'll see how the use of different features has an impact on churn rate. We already see features that are, in our mind, under-used.

We'll create videos to explain how the feature works and, more importantly, what the benefit to the user is.

The future

We're very excited about the future! We started working with OKR's so our entire team can see how they can make an impact on revenue and churn. We've set a pretty high bar for our revenue growth in the next couple of months. We should reach 10k MRR within the next couple of weeks!

I absolutely love the auto retweet of evergreen posts feature. I have tied a lot of twitter schedulers, but always missed having this (or some similar) feature.

    Signed up for trial already.

May I ask how you got your initial free and paid customers?

      Thanks Noobie :)

We found a passionate group of people and involved them in the process of building the app. Collecting feedback. Allowing a limited amount of people in our closed beta. Stuff like that :)

    Congratulations! Huge milestone :)

    Congrats! keep it up!

    Congrats Yannick!

    Congrats Yannick!

I emailed Samy a few days ago, offering to use Pikaso for your Instagram image generation, but no reply yet. Is it something that you'd ever consider?

      Hey Soheil,

We already use a service for this which we’re happy with :)

    2. 1

Just checked your website. This is neat!

  7. 1

Oh man you guys rocking it!

  8. 1

Amazing job, I have been following your journey on Twitter :) Huge congratulations on this milestone 🚀

How do you afford your team? Are they part time or all full time? Any tips for other bootstrapping startups near your revenue mark on hiring talent? Are you guys a remote team?

    1. 2

Samy and I don’t take any salary.

Our whole team is remote. We hire most of our developers via Upwork.

Customer Happiness is more from our own network :)

They’re not full time so we can afford a few more people. :)

  10. 1

    Congrats!
@YannickVeys Could you share what contributed most to growth? which strategies did you implement?

    1. 3

      Thanks MrS!

Our affiliate program is doing well.

We just started a podcast. Hypefury Presents (need to post a new milestone!! 😂) which will help our brand awareness.

Keep our users happy :) We're in a very viral space which is a benefit but can also be a big liability if we f*ck up. So we invest heavily in customer happiness and take their problems really seriously.

        Thanks for sharing!
Taking care of users is definitely important and it also shows the seriousness of a company!

Good luck with the next steps!

Why do customers prefer Hypefury over competitors like Basecamp who also offer integrations with other social media platforms?

    1. 1

We are really into the Twitter niche. We have an integration with Instagram and we'll launch an integration with LinkedIn very soon... But we're an inch wide and a mile deep into Twitter 😄

  12. 1

    Congrats.

I've been following you from day one and the speed at which you grow is impressive 👏👏👏.

About the team, how many are you? Is it all full-time?

Good luck for what comes next.

I clicked the wrong reply button I think 🤓

        That's a big team. Congrats!

Have you secretly raised some money or are you still 100% bootstrapped 😉?

        1. 3

          Thanks :) No, still 100% bootstrapped / self-funded.

      VueJS and Firebase :)

      WordPress on our marketing website.

We position ourselves so we don’t have any real competition. Buffer and Hootsuite are distant competitors but people who are really into the twitter niche will probably barely consider them.
