Simple way to get people to use your product? Use theirs and comment on it! Every indie hacker wants people to use and comment on their product right? It's been really helpful to figure out what needs to change and where the UX isn't holding their hand enough.
I finally decided that my app needed a big boy URL. After all, it had changed drastically. It was no longer about async communication, but writing consistently and sharing it.
"HyperWriter" made sense because it helped you to write faster AND it had "Hype" in the name which kind of indicates that you're going to get people to talk about you if you talk more.
So I built a website and my first ugly landing page, a new logo, and made a twitter profile.
Hyper Writer used to be called, Topical. It started out as an Async Communication tool. I built it out using Phoenix and Live View and it worked! I tried getting people to use it but it never really took off. There's just too many other good options, but I kept at it to see if I could turn it into something.
