Hyprcubd
Time Series Database
Documentation is now live here: https://www.hyprcubd.com/docs
I tried mkdocs as well as hugo. I found hugo to be far more customizable and I'm a huge fan of Go.
The docs contain a Getting Started guide to help new users learn the system. I also added a reference section to go into more details. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I plan to add a blog and examples.
Finished the MVP of Hyprcubd!
It was a long road to get here. Lots of false starts and PoCs to come up with the correct set of technologies to use. With this being an infrastructure product, a significant amount of automation is in place.
Users can now sign up, login, create databases and tables. They can also insert and query data from the console using SQL.
How is this different from an existing database such as MySQL or Postgres? Those databases are essential for transaction style workloads where you need to keep track of user data. When you need to track event style data, they quickly buckle under even a modest load. Also, querying these databases gets slower the more data that is in the database. There is no automatic sharding.
There are numerous projects out there that attempt to solve this problem by writing an extension on top of existing databases. This is good in theory however you lose efficiency in numerous areas such as storage and query performance.
Hyprcubd solves this by creating a new database from the ground up - SQL parser, storage layer and distributed replication. We handle all the internals so you can focus on your app and treat the database as a serverless endpoint. Even the pricing model is designed for serverless apps. You could calculate your database costs without writing any code.

I've been looking for something a bit like this. How is Hyprcubd going?
Any customers yet?
Hi James, Yes, we are working with a couple customers so far. Would like to hear how we might be able to work together. Do you want to setup a meeting? nick@hyprcubd.com.
Congrats!
