I had plenty of ideas. They just never made it out of my head or ChatGPT brainstorming threads.

Last year I explored a bunch of side project ideas. Each one lived across ChatGPT threads, half-finished Notion docs, and notes scattered in numerous threads. I'd brainstorm with Claude/ChatGPT, get excited, then... lose the momentum.

So I went looking for tools that could help structure my thinking. Found a few—and they all wanted $20-30/month. For what? A ChatGPT wrapper with a fancy UI. I'm already paying for ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor. Why would I pay another AI subscription for something that's basically prompts and a database?

My problem wasn't a lack of AI. It was that I had no structured way to take scattered brainstorms and shape them into something clear enough to act on.
