Waitlists directory - List yours and discover others
I made some visual updates to submission form (currently free) for my waitlist directory.
1) Added accordion / open close for form sections. I hope this makes the form less overwhelming. Still, some tweaks are needed, but hey. It's BiP. I will get to them.
2) No more emoji madness. I'm unsure about the colored backgrounds, but they're at least better than emojis. I might switch them to light gray and keep only stroke colors.

Great concept! A dedicated platform for waitlists is definitely needed. I love how you're focusing on reducing friction with optional fields - smart move. The live preview feature is a nice touch. Quick question: why are there so many optional fields?
Suggestion: it might be helpful if we could select multiple categories.

The idea is to make it very easy to submit a waiting list, even if founder has not yet created logo or text. Or if they want to stay anonymous. Less friction.
Is there a downside to this or was just a question?

Live preview implemented
I might have overcooked here, but I like tweaking such things.
Added live preview for listing. I wanted to make submission frictionless. There are many directory sites where I just don't know how your listing will look later. This seemed to be a good addition.

I plan to gather around 10 waitlist before publishing the first batch all at once. I get it. Nobody wants to be first; it's human nature. So it should take the stress off.

It all started with a post I made in the X community Build in Public. At that time I was just genuinely wondering is there a platform for waitlists, but the idea got stuck in my head.
Week and half later as my birthday was approaching, I made myself a challenge to ship something for my birthday, as my first public project. I decided to actually build this idea and I only had 3 days left to my birthday. Also this neat domain was available.
This is why it started very simple and minimalistic with most functions stripped out. But now, it's gradually evolving with new features and improvements until it becomes a comprehensive platform for indie makers.
I hope IndieWait can help kickstart your journey, just as it did mine.

Thanks.
Easy- it had to be directory. So it needed submission and directory. Basically that was it and main priority. Accounts and editing are for later.
Indeed for submission I could have used third party forms like many other directory sites are doing, but I wanted to make it preview listing for less friction.
