Inkmarks

Highlight and save useful ChatGPT answers

May 6, 2026 I built a tiny highlighter for ChatGPT because I kept losing useful answers

I kept running into the same annoying problem.

I’d have a long ChatGPT thread with one really useful answer buried somewhere in the middle. A prompt I wanted to reuse, a good phrasing, a decision, a tiny idea, whatever.

Then two days later I’d be doing the classic scroll-and-squint routine trying to find it again.

Copying everything into Notion felt too heavy. Bookmarks did not help. Chat titles were too vague. Search was hit or miss.

So I built Inkmarks.

It’s a small Chrome extension that lets you highlight useful parts of ChatGPT conversations and save them in a sidebar. You can color-code highlights, add notes, search them later, and jump back to the original spot in the chat.

It’s intentionally simple. No folders. No second brain cosplay. No giant knowledge management ritual.

Just:
highlight the useful bit → keep going → find it later.

I’d love feedback from people who use ChatGPT heavily.

I kept losing useful answers inside long ChatGPT threads. Inkmarks started as a tiny way to mark the parts worth keeping, then find them again without copying everything into notes.
