InQery

Hey everyone — we’ve been quietly building a product called InQery for awhile now and are finally starting to open it up publicly.

InQery is an AI-native database development and exploration workspace built around real operational data workflows rather than just generic code generation.

Our background is in database-heavy consulting work and software development — ETL pipelines, analytics systems, compliance reporting, migrations, operational reporting, etc.

We were early adopters of AI tooling and while modern AI-assisted IDEs rapidly transformed software development, database tooling seems to have been left behind.

We started building internal tooling for ourselves to help with schema exploration, executable query workflows, cross-database analysis, reusable workflows, visualization generation, and AI-assisted operational data work.

The internal versions ended up becoming deeply embedded into our own workflows, which was the point where we realized this probably needed to become a commercialized product instead of staying an internal tool.

A few things we focused heavily on:

• executable query result workflows

• schema-aware SQL generation

• cross-database analysis

• advanced data science analysis

• data visualization and report building

• reusable workbook-style workflows

• operational data tooling instead of isolated prompts

The product is live now in an extended free access period while we continue to prepare our launch materials ahead of the broader release (May 15th).

We also really wanted to reduce onboarding friction so we included 2 pre-connected demo database for every new InQery account.
