InspectWP
Professionalize your WordPress-Projects
Early last year we launched the first version of InspectWP (https://inspectwp.com), a tool to analyze WordPress websites.
It was free to use without any limitations. A couple months later we added browser plugins for Chrome (500 users) and Firefox (150 users). We then added a limitation to the free version to 3 reports per day and implemented a pro version with more features and no limitations for 7,5$ per month.
The website traffic is constantly growing and we are currently at 5500 generated reports per month. We spent some money on advertising on Google and Reddit, but almost all of the growth is organic. With the help of this traffic, 8 users purchased the premium plan, which currently brings us to an MRR of $60.
After the initial launch we worked on further features on the one hand and released a browser plugin for Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/inspectwp-theme-detector/) and Chrome (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/inspectwp-wordpress-theme/pbciakaihcalifbckgoemgofkajkhbfo) on the other hand. With the browser plugin you can inspect any WordPress website and get a compact audit about relevant topics like Themes, Plugins or SEO.

For the last few months I've been working on a free WordPress audit tool (www.inspectwp.com) with a friend of mine where you can inspect any relevant parts of your WordPress website like SEO, Security, GDPR, Themes, Plugins, XML-Sitemap, etc. and get an audit report to improve and professionalize your project.
It's free to use, give it a try and improve your own WordPress project :)

Nice tool so far! I especially like the plugin detection, it detects a lot of plugins! But maybe you can add some more data to the performance section...the Core Web Vitals or some other performance data.

Thank you! Extending the performance section is on our todo list!

What I like about it is the variety of topics it checks. Just a small hint: The yellow color of the reference texts is difficult to read, would change it to default black.

Thanks for your feedback!

5500 reports per month seems a lot! If the traffic continues to grow, maybe you can also try to work with ads as a second revenue stream.
Thanks! Ads are definitely one more revenue stream to think about, but it's always difficult and time consuming to find partners...
Sounds like a very good amount of organic traffic if it results in 5500 reports generated per month. You probably had to do a lot of backlink building because the competing tools also seem to have a lot of backlinks?
Correct! Backlinks are one of the main reasons for our organic growth, especially to catch up with the competition!
I tried it out of curiosity but got an error. Both times.
How are you tracking report generation? I'm asking because this could affect how you interpret the data.
Ideally, you want to optimize the free to paid buyer journey in order to increase your MRR.
Also, there's a lot of competition that you're going up against. How do you differentiate your product?
