Like many founders, this project started with a simple observation.
When the EU introduced the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the market quickly filled with software focused on one thing: generating reports.
The more we spoke with procurement teams, CFOs and sustainability professionals, the more we realised that reporting isn't the real problem.
The real challenge starts much earlier.
Which suppliers create the highest carbon exposure?
What happens if you change supplier?
How will future carbon prices affect procurement decisions?
What's the financial impact of a sourcing strategy before contracts are signed?
That's where the idea for InteliCarbon was born.
Rather than building another compliance tool, we're building a Carbon Intelligence Platform that combines supplier intelligence, AI-powered document processing, scenario modelling and financial impact analysis in a single enterprise platform.
Our goal isn't simply to help organisations report emissions.
It's to help them make better business decisions before reporting even begins.
Building differently
One of the most interesting parts of this journey has been how we're building the product itself.
We're using AI-assisted software engineering throughout the development process. Autonomous coding agents help us accelerate implementation, while we remain responsible for architecture, validation and product direction.
The result is faster iteration without compromising on enterprise quality.

What stood out to me isn't the CBAM reporting itself—it's the scenario modeling.
Most compliance software tells you what happened. The ability to ask "What happens if EUA prices rise?" or "What if we switch suppliers?" turns the platform from a reporting tool into a decision-support system. That's a much harder position for competitors to replicate because you're helping companies make decisions before costs hit, not just documenting them afterward.
That feels like a stronger long-term narrative than compliance alone.
