Traffic/Revenue Down 60%

Just posted a recap on the huge organic traffic drop that I've been having since the middle of last month. I thought I'd be panicking if this happened, but so far it's just been calm determination.

My SEO-focused site saw a 15-20% drop last month as well. Google rolled out an algorithm update in mid March that moved a lot of sites around.

As far as I can see, introcave is getting most of it's traffic on a paginated page https://introcave.com/?page=2 and then the home page and then the https://introcave.com/category/gaming category page. Except for the category page, both the pages have seen a nosedive in the traffic.

Reason for the fall of https://introcave.com/?page=2
A paginated URL structure is not a good UX behavior. Google is sending down a lot of paginated URLs for a year. The March 2019 Core Update (google's Danny Sullivan gave this name) is largely focused on UX and backlink quality. Hence you this page is going down.

Another reason for the fall of this page and the home page is bad backlinks. Introcave is getting a huge number of backlinks from some spammy sites (like
    fbyxq.me, http://www.buyingciaonline.com/) and porno sites like (http://pornosu2018.xyz/).

Make these better, and you will get the traffic back.

Helpful, thanks. I'm not as worried about the spammy crap (from a previous owner) and working on making the site better to draw more quality links. I recently implemented a ton of canonicals to try to shift focus to page 1 of the results instead of page 2.

    Hi, Will.
Check https://SEODub.com - there is a free account that allows you to audit and monitor up to 5 keywords. It will calculate the most probable way to get to the top and remain there.

Thanks, I'll give it a look.
