Last month was very productive for degiro and I shipped many UX improvements as well as support for 8 more stock exchanges, multiple new currencies and tested automated import for a couple new countries.

And I finally set up the blog! So I can get the SEO game started so people will have an easier way discovering invertimo. Next one on this front: knowledge base site.

You can now import your binance Crypto related transactions to https://invertimo.com (open source investment tracking app).

Crypto is becoming more and more mainstream and more investors have part of their portfolio in crypto assets.

Selling crypto is a taxable event in most countries, swapping tokens is usually treated similarly.

Because of that you need to be on top of your transactions and know what was your cost basis (total amount paid) of the tokens you sold. You need to make sure you track it in the correct currency, converting USD gain to your local currency is not the way to do it. Additionally, order of selling matters as well, even if you have the same token in multiple wallets or exchanges! Do yourself a favor and keep a solid record of your transactions!

Crypto can be an income producing asset and you need to track this income too.

I've been building and building. I managed to get it to the state where it is somehow useful, so it was time to get it launched!

I like to have a total control over my deployment, so I run software on my own VMs. I set up reproducible builds, docker containers, some basic setup scripts, domains and after a busy deployment weekend the app is live!

I wanted to start another personal project and out of lack of good ideas, I decided to just go with an idea of a solution I could find useful.
I am a bit obsessed with investing and I decided to build investment portfolio tracker / accounting software.
Even if the idea didn't stick, I would learn a lot and solve my own problem!
