Whoa! 🎢 Talk about a wild ride. Last week, I dove headfirst into a hackathon put on by the cool folks at Pinecone. The mission? Use AI 🤖 to tackle problems that are bugging the real world.

I didn't jump in because I was itching to win (although, hey, who would say no to a trophy 🏆?). Nah, I wanted to light a fire 🔥 under myself to actually make something happen.

I've tried pretending I've got a deadline before, but when you don't have customers, users, or any cash 💸 behind you, your friends and fam 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 are gonna think you're just messing around when you say, "I'm creating something epic!" 🚀

And let's be honest, you're often your own toughest crowd. You start doubting yourself, asking "Is this even worth it?" Then you see all the successful SaaS ventures out there and it's like a rollercoaster of feeling stoked 😃 and kinda bummed out 😔 all at once.

But you know what? I'm stoked I took the leap 🙌. It was hardcore and exhausting, but holy cow 🐮, I learned so much in just one week. Coding with my buddy, ChatGPT, I picked up loads of new tricks like Vercel's edge function, serverless lambda function, getting nginx going on EC2, and messing around with vector database and Langchain.

And here's the kicker, I made an AI app without even laying a finger on Python 🐍. How cool is that?

Our answer: Let's get AI to do the heavy lifting! We programmed it to snatch up the latest news 📰 about your portfolio and condense it into a nifty email summary 📧.

We had big dreams at first - we wanted AI to fire off these updates daily, but for a demo, it kinda sucks making users wait for a set email time.

For now, you can test it with the top 10 large-cap stocks 💹 and see the kind of news round-up it can cook up. If enough people dig it, we'll keep tweaking and improving.
