This is how we came up with a product idea💡

In 2017, we've been developing a fintech investment app which was pretty expensive to build and run. As first time founders, we had no experience building startups, but we were very driven and determined to succeed.

We invested our own money and raised pre-seed from family and friends, but the funds only sustained us for about a year.

When we were running out of funds, we understood that we had to raise money from Angels and VCs in order to keep going. But we didn't know how to do it. So we spent several weeks manually collecting investors' data from LinkedIn, Crunchbase, AngelList and other websites.

We understood that there were other founders who might also be facing the same issues trying to find the right investors for their startups.

So we decided to transform the investor list we had compiled into a product. Then we launched on Product Hunt and finished that day as #1 product of the day.

Investor Hunt was born out of our own struggles to secure funding at that time.
