February 27, 2020 New feature: Reporting Templates

Added a new page that lists some templates of pre-defined reports that users can automatically install to their Google Analytics properties.

Hoping this will immediately provide them with some additional value after having completed the installation process.

Moreover: we have just reached another milestone of having processed over 2,000,000 enrichments for our customers!

February 21, 2020 Processed 1 million enrichments!

Today, just over a week after initial launch, IpMeta.io has already processed over 1 million API calls to enrich visitor data for over 250 different websites.

Really cool to see IpMeta being adopted and to see that there have (so far) not been any scaling issues :)

February 18, 2020 Reached 100 registered users!

We just reached our first 100 registered users on IpMeta.io!

In terms of 'marketing' I have mainly been able to reach them through posting a couple of Tweets and adding some comments to related articles in Disqus comment sections.

Some users have already made over 60K calls to our plugin. Happy to see it's all still running smoothly :)

February 17, 2020 Added support for Gtag and Google Tag Manager

I received some feedback on Twitter last week from users who installed Google Analytics through Gtag.js and Google Tag Manager.

The initial version of IpMeta.io only supported the older Analytics.js implementation, so they were unable to install IpMeta on their website.

I have made some changes to the Plugin to also be able to support the Gtag.js and Google Tag Manager implementations.

Installation instructions have been updated accordingly.

February 13, 2020 Launched MVP

On Feb. 4th, 2020 Google Analytics suddenly removed the "Service Provider" and "Network Domain" dimensions without any prior notification.

Lots of people use filters in Google Analytics based on these dimensions to filter out bot traffic and get a better understanding of the companies visiting their website.

IpMeta is a free GA plugin that adds the dimension back into Google Analytics so that your filters and Audience -> Technology -> Network tab are working again.

Starting Feb. 4th, 2020 Google Analytics suddenly removed the "Service Provider" and "Network Domain" dimensions, resulting in an empty Network tab. IpMeta adds them back.
