IRIX 2.2 is here!

• the user interface has been improved in many ways (new colors, a new application icon, improved overall consistency and accessibility, …);
• as requested by many of you, there is now a screen color picker (yay!).

IRIX 2.1 is out, with two big news:

• ONE-TIME PAYMENT: gone is the subscription, you now get to use the app and all its updates forever for a one-off fee.

• OFFLINE APP: the application now works completely offline and creating an account is no longer needed.

After almost a year of development, IRIX 2.0 is released!

The app has been rebranded as IRIX, it has a new design and many new features, as well as a new pricing model. It also has a new webiste: https://irix.app/.

I started working on a new major release of Iris. I have many new features planned to be added, most of them requested by users. I also plan a UI redesign and a new pricing model.

I also decided to create a side project to test some of the new features, so that I can quickly iterate over them.

Update: The side project is called IRIX Web Tools and is available here: https://tools.irix.app/

After almost a year after the initial launch, the app has reached a decent growth:

• ~50 website visitors a week
• ~10 downloads a month
• ~60$/month of income

I know it doesn't sound much, but as a side project, I consider it a fairly good success.

Most of the users are quite happy about the app, but they are also asking for new features, so it's time to plan for a new major release!

After a couple of months of development, I've been able to release the first version of the app. Please welcome Iris! It is pretty basic, but it has most of the features I need to test the idea.

The app is available on the macOS App Store and on the website for Windows and Linux. Launching price: 5$ pay-once model.
