Watching the COVID-19 pandemic unfold it became clear that had to be a solution for safely re-opening businesses after the lockdown. We anticipated that one of the largest pain points for consumers would be unpredictable queues and the lack of knowing if your destination is safe from a social distancing perspective.

IsItBusy helps address this problem by allowing businesses to publish real-time information on how busy they are to our platform, which is then displayed as a traffic light system to indicate whether it's safe to visit.

Through integrations with various data sources (manual counters, thermal counters, laser beam counters, turnstiles etc.) we can make the process of acquiring and publishing this information cost-effective and effortless for businesses.

After validating the idea with a number of close friends we decided to build it and run it as a bootstrapped startup.
