Hey Indie Hackers ๐
I just launched Japan Walk Nomad โ an app that turns your real step count into a journey across Japan, starting at Cape Soya in Hokkaido and (eventually) reaching Shuri Castle in Okinawa.
The idea came from a simple frustration: step counters show you a number, but a number alone never motivated me to keep walking. I wanted something that felt more like a real journey โ walking on an actual map, passing real landmarks along the way.
The Hokkaido leg is free to start right now โ no payment, no signup wall, just open the app and see how far your daily steps take you across the map.
This is a solo side project, built and designed by me from scratch. I'd love to hear what you think โ especially if you're someone who's tried (and given up on) walking apps before. What made you stick with one, or quit?
